There is no leadership and no vision and management blames everyone else. It is a horrible place to work. They also neglect and take advantage of seniors!!! I enjoy helping others. A typical day at work is assisting those under my care with daily activities. I learned how diverse individuals are. Management was not understanding when conflict with client. Workplace culture is diverse. The hardest part of the job was getting attacked by the client. The most enjoyable part of the job is helping others.
A typical day was getting the residents up, dressed, and ready for medications and breakfast. We also attended a day program with the residents where the performed daily academic and vocational objectives. Everyday was to just assist the residents as needed. While working for Life I did learn some sign language.
The coworkers I worked with where awesome. They truly cared about the residents the cared for. Their really was no hard part of the job. We all work together and have great commutation skills. The most enjoyable part of the job is to see a resident shine through their struggles. Great cause but unfortunate management. This is a tricky review to write. Life Inc provides excellent service to participants and I love working with that population. Nothing but praise for Life Inc in that respect. Management however is dishonest, manipulative, back stabbing, and two faced. Often cowardly, and easily shaken by strong opinionated males.
There is a serious issue with work relationships at Life Inc. Family and friends of management make up a fair number of DTT employees.
This leads to uncomfortable work situations. Management is far too involved with it's employees outside of work and Life Inc has been marked with extramarital unprofessional relationships.
Management changed a lot over my course of 7 years. Reiki Masters at Work Our resident reiki masters honing their skills. The Statewide Independent Living Council of Georgia is holding the final round of town hall meetings! Best part of the job was working with all the clients and making new friendships and the hardest part was letting employees go. Laid back work environment, fun clients, not a lot of heavy lifting. Overall i enjoy working with this type of population.
If you can deal with the unprofessionalism of management, and or are a friend or family member of management, you will likely enjoy your time working with Life Inc. But if you are just wanting to work with participants and enjoy helping people, expect Life Inc to satiate that feeling for a couple months but you will eventually clue in that it is time to jump this leaky ship.
Working with participants and feeling good while making a difference. Management, dishonesty, easily shaken mid-level management beta males, gossip, and back stabbing. Very fun and friendly work enviroment. A typical day at work consisted of helping your participant with daily functions of life. All the supervisors and co-workers are very friendly and helpful.
The hardest part of the job is dealing with a participant if they every get upset. I enjoyed working here.
I got to grow as a manager. Made the day to day business discisions regarding the business as well as the employees, constantly learning how to manage co-workers and customers. Best part of the job was working with all the clients and making new friendships and the hardest part was letting employees go. The most enjoyable part is taking care of the clients and staff. Workplace is stress free and enjoy your whole day with your clients. Learned that not every individual are the same and helping others can make a difference. Work Culture needs to imrove. Wayne, IN — December 12, I fix a lot of problems in other areas of the company, then I focus on issues in my division. The issues is job responsibilities of management, and who is responsible for what.
Poor place to work Do not go to this company. I love this job. Laid back work environment, fun clients, not a lot of heavy lifting. Pay isn't great but what can you expect with how low stress it is? Stuff can get to you from time to time but never so much that you're getting all depressed at home or some stuff like that.
No growth in the company.
I loved the clients but the staff was very unprofessional and they aren't business friendly. I enjoyed my time working for this company. The only complaint that I had is that on third shift it is hard to stay awoke when you are there by yourself and you don't get the have a break because you are there by yourself. Productive Group Home Setting. I cooked, gave medications and stayed with them overnight in a group home setting. Monday thru Friday consumers were dropped off to their day program.
Some of the clients were a pleasure to work with and some of the cleints parents needed to be cleints themselves. Overall i enjoy working with this type of population. Productive and fun learning experience. Working at Life Inc was okay. Glad i was able to gain more experience for being a Cargiver. It was a really great experience overall. I recommend it to anybody. Nice place to work.
Overall all nice place to work for temporary employment or to supplement your income. Only two staff schedule per group home. If you need to be out may have to find your own replacement for that day or days. Only given one reason after you meet your 90 day requirement of employment. No real opportunity for growth. They could not adapt to the clients and the employees whom had been there for more than a year. They would not support their employees. Talked down to them and had the employees do most of the work that were the Managers responsibility. I love the work as a caregiver with this company however there was far too many politics involved with growth in this company. The employees were not paid well at all and advancement was only welcomed by who you knew rather than the effort and detailed work you did.
Each client had personal matters that were hard for each employee to keep up with. Management was very particular about how employee did things. Employees were not allowed to sit down unless it was feeding clients.
