As a reader I have been longing for a return to this series and Jo Davis has not disappointed with this release. The hero is Detective Shane Ford, brother to Shea Ford from Line of Fire, and readers will finally have the opportunity to enjoy his story and evolution from bachelor to sudden family man. This book was well worth the wait and Jo Davis delivers a rich story filled with emotion and intrigue. The chance to see and hear about some of my favorite characters from the earlier books in the series was wonderful.
