I think they bring balance to living life faithfully in all aspects - not just to one's consumerism.
The book is not full of simple rules - dos and don'ts; the book provides a well-researched basis, in four areas, for the choices we make. The reader gets to make the decision. Very interesting perspective applying a Christian tradition to a often secular topic of consumption. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot! It raised my awareness about all the different factors that I should be considering and introduced me to some new names that I'm looking forward to exploring!
