You will find her sculptures all around Paris. Throughout my trip I called her Lady Justice, but she is actually an important figure in French history. She wears the Phrygian cap which is a symbol of the freed slaves les esclaves affranchis. Indeed I was mistaken and I should have actually called her Lady Liberty. Liberty — Equality — Brotherhood. Another popular destination amongst the people that visit France.

In any case it is said that one needs 2 to 3 days to visit the entire museum and properly appreciate what is on offer; So after looking at it from the outside and getting a feel for the place, I took a right turn and said aintnobodygottimeforthat. What can I say?
An Exhibition Illustrating the History of Cartography. Now that we left human mannequin paradise, we headed up to the Arc de Triomphe. Queen's Printer for Canada. I took a lot photos in the beginning, and then my phone died on me. A Culture Historical Hypothesis. This would probably explain why all of a sudden I have love handles…….
This one rather large park that has been magnificently landscaped has all the magic that any dreamer wishes for. But as common as it appears with tourists, people jogging, hawkers and French people; it has this alluring French charm that made me fall in love with it. Walking through this garden was indeed the highlight of my Paris day. En face du Louvre, il y a le jardin des Tuileries. Je ne sais pas pourquoi; il y a avait des touristes, des joggeurs, des vendeurs, enfin bref il y avait du monde.
After the marvel of the Tuilleries garden, we went passed the Place de la Concorde, where there was another one of many Asian weddings. At the centre of the Place de la Concorde there is a gigantic obelisk which was imported on a ship from Egypt on the command of Napoleon. It amazes me how 19th century engineering managed to carry a solid mass like that across the Mediterranean Sea.
Put it this way, there was no room for error in its transportation. This is why I could never be a good engineer and I applaud those that managed to get it across. There are actually two parts to this road, the parks on either side of the road, and then commercial district. It was an uphill walk that was worth it. Boy oh boy was I in for a treat, my oh my. Now that we left human mannequin paradise, we headed up to the Arc de Triomphe.
On the inner faces of the arc, there are the names of all the cities he conquered, ranging from Spain, Italy, Austria, Poland and more. It was quite a remarkable sight. He honours many others like him too. For the sake of that honour I hope this man really was French and not an impostor implanted by the British. So on my second trip to Paris, I took some pictures from afar. This is what I will leave you with for now, but I will be back to take pictures from the top.
I really enjoyed my day in Paris. Different expressions may be better to use however. As you may have noticed, the French are a lot more affectionate in how they treat people. So you probably learned that these mean: The same rules as above apply:. However that is slang. In school you learn that these 3 mean in order: Here, There, Down there.
It turns that nope, this is not true in France. I say this given the facial expressions I see when people respond in this manner.
I am still trying to work this one out because. These are used to give your opinion of something. When they do, I will update the section.
It is in French however. The nuances of intensity are just as they are in English. If you learned this in class then you were paying attention because I had never heard of it before and it is used a lot. This is actually a Latin word and is used in very formal English.
That is the style for the English language. More pictures in the French Version. Charles de Gaulle International Airport I am here. I must say that it kind of feels unreal, like a dream come true. Soon, the time finally came for me to go through the gates and I was officially in France. Some things just seem inconceivable and unreachable, until they happen.
