The author specializes in realistic work based on paintings which she makes and embroiders over and photographs. She makes the work look difficult, but she gives clear directions and helpful tips.

Although I am unlikely to work in this intensive style, I am putting this book on my wish list because work on machine embroidery in any style could benefit from this book. Shin shows examples from works in different styles from her own as well. Jul 25, Lydia rated it it was amazing.
