    On a Friday night 2 large tables were booked for big groups of townspeople. Food is characteristic, of good quality. Servings are generous, and the staff is polite and helpful. Away from the tourist crowded old town we found the small typical Sardinian Osteria. Great food and service - portions are big - don't order too much unless you have a big space in your stomach: My wife and I visited with my niece who lives in Alghero.

    The restaurant is very small, I think there were four tables, with a lovely atmosphere It was a short visit, full of great food and friendly owners. It is a small place, three tables. We found it by case and stopped there. They just home made some great ravioli.

    This is a fabulous delicatessen that we found quite by accident. It was the chiller just inside the doorway holding a good variety of craft beers as well as wines which took our eye — not easy to find in Alghero.
