    • Becky accepts the job and it proves to be more difficult than even she might be able to handle. She has to fire the sexist co-host, then try to convince egotistical news reporter, Mike Pomeroy Harrison Ford , to take the job, and then try and get him to actually do the job, properly. And she has to do this while falling for handsome Adam Patrick Wilson , and trying to save the show from plummeting ratings. Will Becky be able to hold on to her dream job and her sanity? This film is about a young executive producer's struggle to revive an unpopular morning show.

    I thought "Morning Glory" is just another romantic comedy that happens to be set in a television setting, but it pleasantly surprised me.

    The plot in fact focuses a lot more on the stress and frustration of being an executive producer, with romance being sidelined as an almost dispensable subplot. The intensity of Becky's job is well portrayed, the two anchors' verbal wars and Mike's indifferent and selfish attitude all makes "Morning Glory" entertaining to watch.

When hard-working TV producer Becky Fuller McAdams is fired from a local news program, her career begins to look as bleak as her hapless love life. Stumbling into a job at "Daybreak" the last-place national morning news show , Becky decides to revitalize the show by bringing on legendary TV anchor Mike Pomeroy Ford.

    Unfortunately, Pomeroy refuses to cover morning show staples like celebrity gossip, weather, fashion and crafts, let alone work with his new co-host, Colleen Peck Keaton , a former beauty queen and longtime morning show personality, who is more than happy covering morning "news. And soon Becky is struggling to save her relationship, her reputation, her job and ultimately, the show itself.
