This book is sort of a sequel to "Sarah's Solace", which was an amazing book. It is a young adult paranormal series. I enjoyed this book a lot, although not quite as much as the first book. There were times when I think that this story got away somewhat, and that there were some unexplainable things, and also some things that ghosts are not supposed to be able to do.

This is the story of Alexis, a girl who died at age 17 and refused to go into the light. There are some interactions with "bad" spirits and "good" spirits and then Alexis accidentally finds herself in a live body. This is many many years after her death. Sounds great but it came with its own set of complications and no one apparently wrote the rules of what should be done. Kudos to the author for a unique story. I read her first book "Sarah's Solace" and thought that it was an amazing book.
Can't believe that these books are the first books that Ms. She is very talented and I hope to see more from her in the future. I loved Sarah's Solace, with it's unique storyline and believable characters. The book is really engaging and it reads really well, although it can be a little fast paced then slow paced at times. But overall a truly fantastic read that I will definitely go back and read again and again. Sarah is a regular teenager, who is still getting over the loss of her sister Alexis, that dies in a car accident.

She storms off and gets in her car, only to have a car accident. When Sarah comes to, in the woods, she starts wandering around looking for some help. She stumbles upon a guy called Ethan, who brings her back to his cabin.
The pair have an instant connection, but soon Sarah discovers that he is infact dead, a ghost roaming the earth. But why can she see him? Sarah makes a shocking revelation that shakes her to her core. What will become of the pair of lovers, that have become so close? Well it would be too easy for me to give away the whole story, so I won't say any more. But I enjoyed the second book in Sarah's Solace far more than the first book and don't get me wrong I really enjoyed the first book.

The ending was spectacular, I was completely made up for everyone involved. I am dying to read more about the fabulous characters that I grew to love so much in Sarah's Solace. This book for me had nearly everything you could ask for in a book. And most of all a great love story that was truly beautiful and believable. Priscilla - She is a real worldly lady, quirky, down-to-earth, likeable and she is a great friend that has a knowing manner and she also gives good advice.
I would really love to read more about, Priscilla. Ethan - He is such a sweetie, I fell in love with his caring, protective nature.
He is smart and seems older than his years. I loved reading about his relationship with Sarah. I received this book through a giveaway on Goodreads. I liked this book although the first chapter or two had me wondering if I would read it all and then the story just drew me in. I started reading it just before bedtime which is always a bad mistake to make when you have to be up early the next day and then spent the next 4 hours reading and not able to stop.
Paranormal fans should like this book. Young adult, teen girl meets boy, paranormal. Quite a different twist to the normal books and ha I received this book through a giveaway on Goodreads.
Quite a different twist to the normal books and has me faintly remembering a teen favourite movie of mine from the 80's whose name I cannot recall now but it is not because the book is in anyway a copy of that movie, there are only a few similarities but more the quirkiness and paranormal bent that I absolutely loved back then and now. This book gets a solid 5 stars. I guess that it would be classified as a young adult paranormal romance. I'm not into paranormal books and don't like romance books much but this book grabbed me from the start.
Amazingly, it was written by a first time author!

The book is lengthly and has two parts, Book 1 and Book 2; just as I thought there couldn't be anymore, along came Book 2 set 20 years after Book 1. I'm really impressed with it! I ordered this book as an amazon download when that's all that existed. Now there is a solid book; I have to own it too.
Honestly this is not a book I would've picked up just from reading the short description of it, but I won it on Goodreads and finally got around to reading it and I am so glad I did. The story was a true page turner, granted some of the story moved way to fast, and some a little slow, but all in all I couldn't put the book down. I really enjoyed the story, and it is completely different from anything I've read before. Ethan's character is so easy to fall in love with, and Sarah becomes more likeable towards the end of the story. I think I would've liked the story better is it didn't start off with Sarah being 16, the kind of love that is described doesn't seem realistic for that age. This Book Is a brilliant read.
I immediately loved the characters and the storyline is so creative. I was lost in their lives and as I thought things would go one way, they turn, but still had me hooked. As it approached the end, I could not put it down as i HAD to know how it would end. As soon as I had finished, I opened the page of Alexis' Afterlife.
This book was way too long and for the first half I felt that it had no direction. The 2nd half was very predictable and if you have to spell out the things your readers should infer, then you aren't doing a very good job writing.
