    The rooms were quaint and very clean. We saw a lot of animals on our incredible game drives.

    Our favourite spottings, beautiful lion, elephants, buffalo, rhino, cheetah and so much more.. Our game drives were filled with knowledge and awesome sightings. A wonderful birthday surprise was left on my bed with candles lit up in my room and champagne on the night of my birthday. It made my day so much more special. The food was also delicious with lots to choose from.

    A wonderful weekend getaway that is very close to Johannesburg and very affordable. Dear Jessica K - Happy Birthday! We hope you will visit again soon. We booked our stay at Black Rhino Lodge to celebrate our honeymoon and boy are we glad we did. We had the most fantastic time. The staff is extremely friendly, rooms are clean, and the food is exceptional.

    Our game drives were also wonderful. You can tell how passionate our ranger Steyn is about his job just by listening at how much he knows about the reserve and the animals. By our last night there we had seen 4 of the Big 5 and he was determined to find those leopards for us.

    To us, the game drives were more about just seeing the animals. We learned about their social structures, behaviors, and habits which allowed us to grow an even larger appreciation for them and their habitats. We had the most amazing time during our stay here and hope to return soon. We're delighted to hear how much you enjoyed every aspect of your stay, and that you plan to return soon. Beautiful setting surrounded by beautiful people. Made it very emotional to come back home. The food served for breakfast, lunch and dinner is amaaazing.

    You have such a variety to choose from. My family and I were well taken care of - we were treated as family. We were introduced to our Ranger Marcus who took care of us from the beginning of our Game Drives right until our last. We couldn't have asked for a better ranger! Marcus taught us the Tswana Language which comes in very handy especially while your out on your drives.

    I believe it was a Wednesday night that we had dinner outside litted with a massive bonfire pit and lanterns. Was sooo lovely and the food again was amazing We were very lucky to have spotted all the Big 5 during our 3 night stay. You also might want to wear sunglasses and a mouth mask or something that can cover your mouth. I love how there were 2 shower options to choose from in your suite. One outside and one inside, there are monkey's that surround the property so be careful. You also get supplied with a torch and insect repellent. The insect repellent was a life saver! Remember you are in the bush - Basically it's camping but in a luxury hut with concrete floors and indoor toilets so your bound to get some creepy crawly's here and there.

    Our very first Game Drive - and certainly not our last. A BIG thank you to all the lovely staff who took care of us. Shout out to Michael who accommodated my family and I.
