This isn't really a book to be read but more of a reference. More like something you'd pick up and flip through to see what little tidbit of information might be interesting. Oct 13, Pierre Lauzon rated it liked it.
I am a great fan of Henry Petroski. His many books on engineering are interesting reads. This book is a commonplace book - a collection of musings and notes the author has compiled and arranged alphabetically. The introduction says it's not a book to be read straight through, but savored in just casual reference.
