Of course, I have a brother and a sister I could ask about what it's like being a professional musician and we do have idle conversations on occasion but I'm waiting for their books. The structure is a bit unusual, in that many of her chapters are more like fleshed-out thoughts or journal entries, rather than proper chapters. But this is a very thoughtfully written book whose insights can be appreciated by musicians as well as anyone striving to live a creative life.
