John Calvin, just like Charles Stanley and others, have changed grace into a license for immorality by teaching eternal security. That doctrine must be opposed by all Christians in obedience to Jude 3,4. Did you know Calvinism declares an elect person remains saved even if he plunges into the very lowest abyss of sin before you read it here? If you are a true Calvinist, you too believe that some babies are now in hell's fire! John Calvin certainly was not a great theologian as some want us to believe. John Calvin was a heretic, though it is not readily known. Harold Camping not only spreadsHarold Camping once saved always saved, but is again predicting the end.
This time he is saying it will be in Regarding once saved always saved he taught: The real grace teacher knew salvation could be lost and taught others this: For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, Rom 8: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Therefore do not be partners with them. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. To listen, click Harold Camping. Will this car go into hiding on May 22nd? Caller to Harold Camping: I have a hard time believing that May 21, and October 21, is going to happen. Is this the wrath of God or what? Well, the program is, and we know what it is. God has revealed his time line to us.
And then the day of judgment will extend itself for five months. We learn that from Revelation chapter Well, this earth has to come to an end. And that five months period is the period of the final wrath of God on this Earth and on October 21, , it will never, never exist again. It will be totally annihilated. Do NOT be deceived by him. No doubt, Harold Camping's most recent false prophecies after May 21, will bring reproach to the Biblical message of the Lord's return.
The suspected and alleged reason was in preparation for the Rapture on May 21, When she was arrested, she was sitting in her truck reading a bible. The media called her a bible thumping religious zealot who sacrificed her son in preparation for the rapture, which is predicted for Saturday, May If that was the real reason, it doesn't seem clear at this time.
Her attempted murder-suicide is crystal clear proof of the danger of false teachers and false prophets, but only reveals the temporal side of this damage. Jesus called such people ravenous wolves in sheep's clothing Mt. Harold Camping is just one of many. BTW, because of Harold Camping and other false prophets, non-believers have mocked the credibility of the Bible, the Lord's return and Christianity in general. The Bible has never and will never be discredited by any false prophet, including Harold Camping.
More will come, as the age comes to a close. In light of Lyn Benedetto, can you image the similar problems that will arise over the upcoming December 21, hysteria. It won't be pretty!
Anchor yourself in God, the only sure hope anyone has. A 14 year old girl named Nastya Zachinova hanged herself out of fear of Harold Camping's prediction. On May 21, she chose death rather than to be among the ones suffering on earth after the rapture. The girl's diary revealed how terrified she was of the suffering that was to take place. She believed she was not one of the "righteous" people who would be taken up to heaven, but would remain on earth to suffer.
Her views were distorted because of Harold Camping's teaching! That man could be ruined for the rest of his life because he believed the Harold Camping lie. Similiar financial harm was done in with that rapture false prophecy too. If it was only embarrassed and ruined lives the harm would be too great.
Harold, since you think May 21, will be the rapture and you won't be here anymore, how about sign over all your earthly possessions to our NO eternal security Christian ministry to take effect on May 22, ? How sad and misleading it is to read on that web site: CARM is a c 3 nonprofit organization whose purpose is to equip Christians and refute error. This is the case here, at least sometimes. But how could he do better than teach a license for immorality since he is a Calvinist and therefore believes in the perseverance of the saints eternal security?
In fact, in a recent email exchange with CARM this came out. I wrote to Matt Slick the following about King David when in his sins of adultery and murder. Here is one of my emails to him: Matthew, you never responded to my question regarding David remaining saved in his sins of adultery and murder or not! Could it be that you are trying to perpetuate the false image that Calvinism is associated with holiness and that Calvinism is Scripturally sound?
I believe what Jesus said in John Only those who continue to follow Jesus are referred to in John Moreover, his answer implies the license for immorality CARM, and all other such Calvinistic ministries, often try to hide. If one turns to adultery and murder, which a person which once had saving faith can do as shown by King David , then such a person is no longer following Jesus and that blessed promise in v.
In contrast, CARM actually thinks it does! By teaching that way CARM is actually saying his gospel is only a form of godliness, without power to live above sin. Such people also tend to declare their message to be associated with the real gospel, grace, foundational to Christianity, etc. That makes the once saved always saved message another gospel and the eternal security teachers very dangerous people. Without a doubt, Matt Slick just like Mr. James White would debate eternal security with me in a flash if he they thought he they could win.
Remember this when either of them Matt Slick or James White , or any other Calvinists, authoritatively teach this license for immorality commonly known as eternal security. This would equip Christians and refute error in the truest sense. CARM's alleged purpose of equip[ping] Christians and refut[ing] error is nothing but an empty and misleading false claim.
It will be to your own risk and peril to neglect this warning. Remember what Paul wrote: For of this you can be sure: Therefore do not be partners with them Eph 5: Christians are not exempt from sexual sin. If you are such a person who has fallen into fornication, adultery, pornography, homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, or any other sexual deviation, then you need to stop If you are a Christian involved in sexual sin then you know that the Holy Spirit has been convicting you.
This is the case in 1 Cor. He will take your life to essentially save your soul. CARM refers to 1 Cor. The unnamed man in 1 Cor. To teach he was a Christian while in sexual immorality is to declare exactly what the devil and Calvinists would like us to think. CARM just like Dave Hunt would also have us think that God, in his anger, will strike an unrepentant heinous sinner dead and take him to heaven in that unrepentant state.
Somehow to CARM, this is following Jesus because we are his sheep and enduring to the end because we are truly saved! Can you answer the question regarding John We endure because we ARE saved CARM must think the unnamed man in sexual immorality in 1 Cor. The teaching of eternal security is absurd, unscriptural, dangerously demonic and contradictory. I sneak over to your house and steal your bike. In fact, you give me the bike plus a hundred dollars. But that is not all. In an unrepentant state we get that grace and a nice bonus too!
Matt Slick, you have clearly changed grace into a license for immorality. Also, please see chapter 10 on grace in our page book, The Believer's Conditional Security: This is how CARM misstated it: Later Matt Slick has it correctly stated in Luke And they began to be merry. The truth is, the prodigal died spiritually because of his sexual immorality and wild living. After he repented, his lost spiritual condition was reversed and he became spiritually alive again. Please see this article on the prodigal for more information.
Dear reader, CARM is not a ministry that Evangelical Outreach can recommend since the various points of Calvinism, embraced by Matt Slick, will be laced throughout it especially the most deadly point—eternal security. Any teachings on grace, salvation, sin and other related subjects, will be distorted in one way or another to allow for the heresy of eternal security and Calvinism.
The reader is encouraged to warn his friends about the dangerous distortions and doctrinal perversions found on CARM. You are the president of CARM.
WHY won't you accept? Nothing may be removed from this page including links to other pages. David Cloud tries to expose and correct false teachings of our day while he himself teaches and tries to defend a doctrine which has led to the damnation of multitudes—eternal security.
Among his other heretical statements, Mr. David Cloud declared the following at http: If a Christian is lazy and carnal, he will be chastened by the Lord Heb. The grace changers, like David Cloud, call such a reprehensible teaching the sin unto death. Though David Cloud did not elaborate on his understanding of carnal it would have to include the sins of King David adultery and murder ; the sins of Solomon idolatry , the sins of Peter disowning Jesus three times , the sins of the prodigal wild living and being with prostitutes , etc.
In other words, any and all sins! David Cloud, like so many others, teaches confusion and a double message. He wants it both ways. David Cloud also teaches this: The one who permanently falls away demonstrates that he did not belong to the Lord in the first place But here his double message is, if one permanently falls away he was never saved. What about if one just falls away for 35 years, then later returns? David Cloud would have to say that such a person remained saved in all of that wickedness over 35 years because it was not permanent. David Cloud also wrote: To do the will of the Father is certainly not the way to Heaven.
It is the evidence of genuine faith in Christ; it is the proof of regeneration. Here is how Mt. The Bible is clear in stating David Cloud, and all other eternal security teachers are false teachers spreading dangerous lies with their empty words about grace, the cross, eternal life, salvation, etc. True grace teaching declares: Nothing is not worth going to hell over. There is MUCH in it that can help you better understand this salvation related subject.
You can order your copy here at Evangelical Books. Read the eternal security debate challenge to David Cloud on Do not be deceived: Do NOT be deceived. Unfortunately, Ray Comfort has many people especially the Full Gospel, Pentecostal crowd deceived about his salvation message or gospel.
Consequently, he teaches identically with the devil who wanted Eve to think she would not die spiritually through sin. If God has saved them, God will keep them. If they're born of God, they'll never die. If he is the author of their faith, he'll be the finisher of their faith.
He's able to save to the uttermost them that come to God by him. He's able to keep them from falling and to present them faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. Jesus said no one will pluck you from my Father's hand. Therefore, Ray Comfort is unable to adequately teach evangelism because of his denial of spiritual death for the righteous who turn to evil Ezek.
Sadly, Ray Comfort thinks, If they're born of God they will never die. The real Hell's best kept secret is that the Christian can die spiritually through sin, so don't be deceived by him. Hence, Ray Comfort is opposed to following up on his New Converts. In contrast, the Apostle Paul's theology prompted him to follow up on his converts which resulted in his second and third missionary journeys. Of those real converts he saw people fall from grace Gal. So the issue isn't just true or False Conversion, as Ray Comfort implies. New Christians can be in great danger of slick talking, Scripture-quoting false prophets.
After someone gets saved, and we can know who is a child of God and who is a child of the devil 1 John 3: New converts need spiritual care, which can prevent them from falling away Spiritual Death , as many others have in the past. All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved Mat But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.
But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. Both of these institutions are known for teaching the extreme version of eternal security. For Ray Comfort to speak there is proof that they must agree with him! Though Ray Comfort may rant and rave about being EXPOSED on this page, what has he taught refuting the damnable lie of eternal security and showing a saved person can lose his salvation?
How then can he teach the real gospel of grace? What kind of Living Waters does he have? How can he really be declaring the Way of the Master? By this gospel you are saved, IF you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. Greetings in Jesus' holy name. It has been our experience that there are two types of OSAS people: Type two OSAS believer also known as eternal security or the perseverance of the saints will at times seem that he is teaching holiness and stresses true or false conversion.
However, he flatly denies a true Christian can lose his salvation. He would say when someone with a convincing testimony turns away from God that had been faithful even for years, that person was never really saved. This type is very easy to smoke out by asking a few easy questions, which these people usually don't like to answer so that they won't be exposed. They like to give the impression of holiness preaching when they are not. Here are the six easy questions: That is the actual quote we have of you in our radio broadcasts.
Do you deny that this is your intended meaning? Ray, hell's best kept secret is that eternal security is of the devil! It seems that Ray Comfort is not sure if such a person that steals, lies, kills, rapes, commits adultery, etc. The truth is, all those cited in 1 Cor. His ministry is a multi-million Dollar Business I live about 25 minutes from his ministry and I have visited there and it is true I feel if we can influence Kirk with the truth then maybe we can turn Ray Comfort too Kirk has been sucked into Ray Comfort's ministry just like most of us were I just want to say thanks for being such a good student of the scriptures A year ago I was really getting into Ray Comfort's teachings on evangelism.
Ray Comfort highly esteems Charles Spurgeon, and as a result i started studying Spurgeon's teachings. I found that he believed in eternal security and predestination to heaven or hell. I did not really agree with such views but I had never given it much thought before, so i did not dismiss them as being false.
A couple days later, however, my dad wanted me to look up some information on Erwin Lutzer because he enjoyed a book written by him. I typed his name on a search engine on the internet and your Evangelical Outreach site came up. I clicked on it and found a rebuttal to the argument I had read a few days earlier by Spurgeon for eternal security and predestination. I think it was God that led me to your site. I was able to see that Spurgeon's and Ray Comfort's views on eternal security are wrong, and I have since become more careful about fearing God. Thank you for your ministry I thought that it would be of some interest to you to know that I used to be a big fan of Ray Comfort, until I heard him speak on the believer's security.
He calls it true and false conversion. I used to buy his tracts and hand them out, but I no longer feel comfortable doing so, because someone may be deceived into believing that his teaching on salvation is the truth. It really saddens me, because he really does have some great tracts and he definetely [sic] has a zeal for the lost.
I just don't understand how anyone who claims to read their bible everyday can believe the OSAS once saved always saved lie. All emphasis is my own. The life, the water that came from it, became yours and you never have to return to an altar for salvation. Here are a few: My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
So they began to celebrate. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: Otherwise, you also will be cut off. And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. So, without using the terms eternal security or once saved always saved or the perseverance of the saints or the preservation of the saints, Carter Conlon still teaches the essence of that ear-tickling dangerous false gospel.
I observe people coming back for salvation every time they fail. But that is not the way it works. As a genuine believer in Christ, sin is not imputed to you. Yes, sin can affect your relationship with God, dulling your mind and causing you not to hear His voice. Unfortunately, he sounds like his predecessor David Wilkerson. It seems that Carter Conlon is like the typical once saved always saved proponent, who also wrongly thinks: They are not hidden.
Why doesn't Times Square Church teach this obvious truth? The Lord Jesus told 5 of the 7 groups there to repent. Carter Conlon also stated: You might even start living in a certain way, but God will never let you go if you are a genuine believer in Him. He is parroting the popular false gospel and doctrine of demons of once saved always saved. Carter Conlon could never warn Christians that sin will drag even them to hell Mark 9: Carter Conlon and Times Square Church, therefore, have a dangerously distorted view of the image of a Christian, final salvation and God himself.
He is presenting the mythical god of eternal security as the true God of the Bible—the counterfeit as the genuine—while also mentioning the blood of Christ. Carter Conlon went on with this: If I allow people to come to the altar for salvation every week, I offend the work of God Folks, please be aware that there is no Scripture which says that any Christian would offend the work of God if he allows, without interference, people to repent for salvation weekly. That is what this doctrine does to people.
It tempts people to sin by giving them a false hope and implied permission to live wickedly, as they travel the sure road to heaven held and cared for by God—completely safe in the hands of Jesus. Human responsibility for salvation, under grace, is disregarded. If you are a child of God and have trusted in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, God help me if I make you feel that the blood of that cross does not apply to you and you have to keep coming back to the altar over and over.
Carter Conlon refers to a past moment of salvation, but nothing about how holy and faithful to God one is living in the present time. To him it is not where are you at this moment, but were you ever saved. That is foundational to once saved always saved. Carter Conlon also teaches something about the blood of Christ which is not found in Scripture anywhere! Carter Conlon must wrongly think a continual cleansing of the blood of Jesus is guaranteed for all who were ever saved, even if they are now living in wickedness.
That is dangerously demonic. I have also noticed people who teach a license for immorality mention the blood of Christ as Carter Conlon does which serves them as a type of smokescreen. Their audience is usually so poorly taught that if a preacher mentions the blood or the cross, they tend to think he is sound in his teaching when that is not true! Reader, do not be deceived, even Catholic leaders can talk about the blood of Christ. Here are his words: Come and just talk to Me!
If you are hungry, talk to Me! If you are fearful, struggling, caught in a besetting sin, talk to Me! And come boldly, for I have invited you in. This is not a walk for the strong only, it is for all people—all races, all cultures, whether you are on top of the mountain, or underneath the mountain. Clearly, Carter Conlon is subtly teaching a license for immorality, since he declares a person once saved is still saved in besetting sin! By the way, previously Carter Conlon stated sins are not imputed to the Christian, so how could the Christian get trapped in besetting sin?
He talks like he does. Carter Conlon also went on with this: Finally my son has come home! He had become alive again after repenting for salvation Luke The repentant prodigal sincerely and humbly returned to the Father to serve him. The mystery answer for him is found here: May God help all Bible believers to be alert and recognize people who dangerously teach like influential Carter Conlon and to cleave to and defend the message of the Bible, even if it means, at times, to speak out against the popular and influential.
Please do not think as senior pastor of Times Square Church that Carter Conlon is beyond dangerous heresy. He certainly is not! He is also the pastor of the World Changers Creflo Dollar Church International located in Georgia, owns two Rolls-Royces, a private jet and a couple million dollar plus homes!
Having stated all of that, Creflo Dollar, in part, gets the Skull and Crossbones Award for the following unscriptural statement: A Christian's future sins are NOT automatically forgiven. It seems Creflo Dollar might have accepted, at least in part, the once saved always saved heresy too by teaching such. How serious is it for Creflo Dollar to be wrong about forgiven sins? For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Note what Peter wrote about this and past sins: But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. To believe like that is to therefore disregard the vital necessity of forgiving others who sin against us, confessing and renouncing additional sins as just cited. Like many others Creflo Dollar is NOT teaching the truth about salvation, the most important issue in the entire Bible.
He is, therefore, very spiritually dangerous. The following quote makes this clear and will be tested with scripture in three parts. What do I have to do in order to get to heaven? I get born again. I make Jesus Lord of my life. And when I make Jesus Lord of my life and I get born again, the blood of Jesus cleanses me from all of my sin. Creflo DollarTo get to heaven after physical death, one must be Biblically born again, but according to all who teach once saved always saved, that settles it! That singular act of regeneration guarantees an entrance into heaven regardless how one lives afterwards.
After getting born again, we must endure to the end to be saved: All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.
All right, now someone says, Well now Brother Dollar, you need to be perfect to get to Heaven. This should not be mocked at or distorted for it is truth. Don't let Creflo Dollar deceived you: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Teaching about grace, to those who had already been born again, Paul wrote: To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
I tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death. Many turn away, fall away, go back, etc. You must endure for salvation. Creflo Dollar also taught this: And so, someone says, Well where does sin come from? I mean you know, do we have a license to sin? It can defile and bring a Christian to spiritual death. Jesus himself said only a few at Sardis were still worthy to walk with Jesus and not have their names blotted from the book of life: Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes.
They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. He opposes the Word of God: Sin will impact negatively your living. While it may not keep you out of heaven, you know, cause you repent and you got the blood of Jesus, it can stop certain things from operating in your life. Let me give you an example. Creflo Dollar wrongly thinks the negative side of sin for a Christian is only temporal.
To Creflo Dollar and many others, sin can not bring forth spiritual death to the spiritually alive, as happened to Adam and Eve when they sinned. The opposite is the truth. Also, unforgiveness does much more than hinder prayers. It stops sins from being forgiven Mt. Many more issues and sub-issues about salvation are dealt with in our page book, The Believer's Conditional Security.
Have you read it yet? Please pass this message on about Creflo Dollar, dangerous false teacher. The following quote reveals the heart of Tony Evans' doctrines and shows how seriously he has misrepresented the Christian image: I am not unaware that many Christians today struggle with sexual sin, from fornication and adultery to homosexuality and any number of other deviant sexual behaviors. Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. The following are also explicit: Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. This is the second death. This especially includes Tony Evans. It seems like one MUST distort the Word of God and lower the Christian image to have a sizeable following, which seems to be no problem for the grace changers like Tony Evans.
Norman Geisler Norman Geisler calls himself a moderate Calvinist and teaches eternal security. In this book, the two men opposing eternal security presented a weak and pitiful defense of the truth. Many others could have done a much better job. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest IF we do not give up. This is how it will be at the end of the age.
The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous Mat It is, The Believer's Condituional Security: Their headquarters in Nashville, TN had a special edition of a book printed which teaches, among other things, the demonic doctrine of eternal security. This is what the Gideon International has spread through that special edition book: God guarantees that one day you will be with him in heaven.
That is the essence of eternal security also known as once saved always saved, the perseverance of the saints or the preservation of the saints. Gideon international That teaching will lull one to sleep, take him off his spiritual guard and quickly help to bring him to his spiritual death through sin.
Under that heading are various Scriptures that have been typically misused for support of the eternal security doctrine. Sadly, the Gideon International have listed no warnings or conditions for salvations as mentioned in Mt. People are being presented a dangerously misleading partial truth as the whole truth. Jude 3,4 commands Christians to contend against this counterfeit grace, another gospel and license for immorality. Special thanks to J. His soothingly smooth voice is pleasant to listen to as he administers spiritual poison, bit by bit, to his supporters.
The following are just a few of his many license for immorality statements, which have spiritually hurt and deceived people who trust his teachings: People To People radio broadcast, The message Bob George has is as popular as candy, but spiritually deadly! Do NOT be deceived by this man. He is a partial fulfillment of the following passage: But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.
In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping. Therefore, may the reader take warning and not be one of his victims. It has never been refuted and never will be. Michael Houdmann ALL bold emphasis is my own, unless otherwise stated. Michael Houdmann, the answer man behind Got Questions, teaches a license for immorality.
I assure you, from the perspective of the Bible, they are not! Got Questions misleading answers regarding salvation issues are spiritual poison sprinkled throughout its ministry. Jesus said the Ninevites repented at the preaching of Jonah Mt. Hence, turning from sin is what Jesus said repentance is! Michael Houdmann is therefore wrong about how to come to initial salvation get born again! He deserves the Skull and Crossbones Award just for that, but there is more. For him, salvation must be different and therefore a smoke and mirrors technique must be employed through his various double messages!
For example, one indirect contradiction is his view that a carnal Christian cannot act the same as unbelievers in continuous sin, but then he recommends Charles Ryrie's and Charles Stanley's books, which teach carnal Christians do act the same as unbelievers! While writing on easy believism, S. Those who continue to walk according to the flesh are not believers. Is it possible that the new person Christ creates is one who continues to walk in the carnality of the flesh? Note what Ryrie wrote: Paul can only mean that these carnal Christians lived like unsaved men.
That clarifies why the word carnal can label both unbelievers and believers, simply because the lifestyles of both are the same. Hence, we have both confusion and a clear contradiction! So now I got a question for Got Questions: Michael Houdmann as he teaches on easy believism or S. Got Questions also repeatedly misuses 2 Cor. When Paul told that church group to examine themselves it was over doctrine, not their behavior: Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?
Michael Houdmann also contradicts himself when he writes on Romans 7: Regarding that passage, S. Paul uses to describe himself. As with other once saved always saved proponents, who teach salvation can co-exist with adultery, murder, theft, lying, witchcraft, etc. If it is as he says, and it really refers to normal Christian living and Paul as a Christian , then all Christians continuously keep on doing evil acts as a slave to sin.
Let me focus your attention especially on verse 19, which reads: For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Again, if Romans 7: That is a demonic distortion of the real image of a Christian. It is impossible to have salvation and act like that, according to Scripture: We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The eternal security teachers have dangerously mangled the saintly Christian image into a hollow and powerless form of godliness.
The truth is, Romans 7: Verse 18 is clear in stating it is the sinful nature which is referred to, and therefore not a Christian: I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
Michael Houdmann also wrote: Yes, Christians should turn from sin. Yes, Christians should commit their lives to obeying God quoted from, What are the steps to salvation? But how is that possible? Remember, he just taught Rom. So, how could any Christian? Michael Houdmann also teaches a license to sin under his distorted version of the sin unto death. Note the clarity of what he wrote: God, in His grace, allows His children to sin without immediately punishing them. However, there comes a point when God will no longer allow a believer to continue in unrepentant sin. When this point is reached, God sometimes decides to punish a Christian, even to the point of taking his or her life.
Got Questions again presents a dangerous false image of a Christian as a deliberate, willful, continuous, unrepentant EVIL doer! We do not have to sin continuously. The truth is, S. Michael Houdmann because of embracing once saved always saved is presenting a person who is of the devil, as being a Christian! How dangerous is that? How heretical is that? Michael Houdmann, but all eternal security teachers! As cited earlier, S. Michael Houdmann has a double message about salvation.
Such is all through S. His inconsistencies are a sure sign of falsehood. Remember what Houdmann said about the sin unto death and how certain Christians continue in unrepentant sin: His readers must be thoroughly confused, especially if they ever read his answer to: Will God continue to forgive you if you commit the same sin over and over again?
Michael Houdmann wrote there! So, which is right? Can a Christian a believer sin habitually and continually? Yes, if you go by his sin unto death answer, but no if you go by some of his other writings! As serious as that may be, this is much more serious than simple math. Numerous examples could be cited to show how contradictory Got Questions is, but the following one makes the point well.
It comes from his answer on How bad can a Christian sin: Is a person who lives a life of continual sin a believer? When we become Christians, our lives will change. He is consistently inconsistent when dealing with salvation. Michael Houdmann would have to believe it is possible for a Christian to sin continually, because of his doctrine. It is basic that all license for immorality teachers like him think David remained saved while in adultery and murder!
That implies there are Christian adulterers and Christian murderers, in contrast to Rev. Michael Houdmann was contacted to debate me on eternal security and he flatly declined as almost all others like him have. His response excuse was: I have to respectfully decline your invitation to debate. Again, if Dan Corner approaches this issue from the perspective that eternal security is a lie from the pit of hell, straight from the lips of the devil, and that anyone who teaches eternal security is an unsaved false teacher - I do not see how we could possibly have a productive and respectful dialogue.
Dan Corner has engaged in countless debates on this issue, similar to what you are proposing here. Have any of them resulted in anyone's mind being changed? This issue has been hotly debated for years. Dan Corner and I debating will not solve the disagreement or end the debate. Michael Houdmann likewise believe the same about me and my doctrine on salvation? Michael Houdmann views all NO Eternal Security Christians who reject once saved always saved as maintaining our own salvation by our own good works and efforts.
This is completely antithetical to salvation by grace. So why is he so concerned about what we have stated concerning people like him?
Michael Houdmann is also guilty of misrepresenting people like us. The following is what we believe at Evangelical Outreach and it is entirely Biblical: We believe that we are saved by grace Eph. We are justified by faith Rom. We are not under the law Rom. Paul taught against legalism Gal.
We are not saved by works Eph. God is faithful to us 1 Jn. God surely loves us Jn. We have freedom in Christ Gal. Once saved always saved is a dangerous snare to precious souls. The sooner Christians recognize it and fight against it the better it will be for all concerned. Compromise with such dangerous teachers is spiritual treason. Michael Houdmann teaches a severely confused double message regarding salvation, but his beliefs are often well camouflaged with his verbiage and double talk. He wants it both ways and, therefore, terribly contradicts himself to his own harm and the harm and confusion of his readers.
These are undeniable facts, as the aforementioned proves, and that also reflects his false teachings regarding salvation. Simple logic declares no one can teach contradictions without error. It is impossible to teach true Biblical holiness and obedience as an expression of saving faith in the Lord Jesus, if one believes in the damnable heresy and doctrine of demons called eternal security. Because the latter denies and contradicts the former especially when backsliding occurs.
Eternal security allows for unrepentant wickedness and salvation simultaneously. As hard as S. Michael Houdmann tried to deny and hide that fact, his doctrine is a license for immorality! I have nothing personal against S. It is his false grace and demonic doctrine which repulses me and needs to be combated. Michael Houdmann, I remain willing to debate you on eternal security. Yohannan gets our Skull And Crossbones Award for spreading the once saved always saved teaching. This was recently brought to our attention through an email forwarded to us. Thank your for your email regarding eternal security. We at Gospel for Asia know that the subject of eternal security is controversial The Scriptures teach that whoever believes in Jesus has eternal life John 3: We believe that whoever has repented from their sins and put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior has eternal life and can be secure in that.
We believe that the important thing is not whether or not they lost their salvation but that they repent and get into a right relationship with God. In the areas where GFA missionaries are working, things are very different. People living in areas where there is persecution know that there will be a cost to becoming a Christian. Most will face some form of persecution.
Some will be beaten. Many will be rejected by their families and lose their jobs and homes—and some will even lose their lives. Because of this, Christianity is not something that is entered into lightly. People count the cost when they receive Jesus Christ and as a result are not likely to make half-hearted commitments to follow Him GFA claims the people they witness to count the cost in coming to Jesus, but what happens if a Christian later disowns Jesus and goes back to his old life before he repented?
GFA would say they are still saved, even though they are again idolaters, drunks, adulterers, etc. It is also disturbing to ponder that such an organization calls itself Gospel For Asia, when they really deny and contradict part of the real gospel: By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. So, which gospel do they believe in a spread? That does make it foundational to Christianity since the gospel message is very essential. If one stops believing, which is definitely possible Lk.
Peter declared, if a saved person turns away from God, it is worse for him than before he came to God: If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.
Of them the proverbs are true: We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. Please allow me the liberty of sharing several observations regarding your article. The story alleges two Christians masquerading as communist soldiers with machine guns who interrupted a Christian gathering. Only those who were willing to deny Christ by moving to the back of the sanctuary would be spared.
Your conclusions regarding this are: To be consistent with the story in your article, you would have to say the Apostles only had a "said" faith but not a real saving faith, because they disowned Christ!
