Good information, I'll probably keep it, and not sell it back, because I find it to be such a good reference. The CD was slightly disappointing, I thought there would be more computer multple choice questions, I think there were only 2 tests maybe questions each? Good luck on your test. This book was not useful to me, in studying for the PCCN exam. It is too cumbersome. There is information that could be summed up in one to two paragraphs instead of pages. The questions were not on the same level of difficulty as that of the actual PCCN exam.

I believe the book would be a valuable resource for a Medical surgical nurse to use as a tool to prepare for transitioning to a progressive care unit.

I would like for Mr. Ahrens to create a revised, true PCCN version of this book. That would be a valuable resource: This is a good book to study from if you just use it as a reference, I passed the PCCN exam using the study questions from this book and my other pccn book that was published in I would recommend only studying questions because trying to read through the book can get confusing. Only review the systems you don't understand, I used the questions that I got wrong on the 2 test fom the CD as a guide for what to study, it worked out, I passed July 12, The readin was easy and items explained well.

Seemed to not completely follow the AACN test plan, had a few extra items. Contacted seller asking for help with included CD and if there is possibly online access to test material my computer does not have a CD slot and seller had the audacity of replying, "Try using a family member or friends. Book and content itself are fantastic.

Straight-forward, concise, and easy to understand. This book provides good information for me to pass the PCCN test on my first attempt. I still use this book to freshen up my nursing knowledge now that I become a float pool nurse. PCCN test focuses a lot on cardiac stuffs, especially cardiac medications. I didn't focus that much on other subjects such as renal or endocrine; I think floor experience helps as well.

Well it must be worth something because I am certified on the first try. More than is needed to pass the PCCN. I studied with this book and the accompanying CD for over two months and focused most of my attention on Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, and Renal sections. The nursing synergy model was more prevalent on the actual exam than what I had expected and I hadn't prepared much on that nor does this book offer the type of information that was asked related to the synergy mode I took my PCCN exam yesterday and I passed, thankfully!

I had several questions on cultural competency in nursing; I would suggest reading on the AACN website for that information. The practice tests are good and challenging enough that it will prepare you for the exam. I think this book is very well-written and really offers a lot of in depth information, some important and relevant to the exam, others not so much but it's an excellent review.

All I can say is thank goodness that exam is over and passed. Thank goodness I prepared with this book!
